In this month’s newsletter to my email subscribers, I talked about the topic of dreaming a new dream.
This is essentially the process of letting go of a previous dream to embrace a new one that aligns with where you are now and where God is taking you.
But sometimes in the process of dreaming a new dream, it can often feel like you are starting again when you have to let something go. It can feel like you are back to square one.
I personally have had to walk through this process of dreaming a new dream and currently still in it to be honest. It is so easy to fall into the perception that you are starting again. To be honest, even picking up Thriving Introvertly again from where I left off felt like I was starting again.
But one thing I have come to realize that I want to share with you is that, no matter what, you are not starting again.
The things that you have gone through so far matter.
Your experiences matter.
You are wiser this time.
You are stronger this time.
You see things clearer this time.
You know yourself just a bit better this time.
You have grown.
Take all of this with you as you embark upon this new dream. Don’t leave it behind. Don’t let all that go to waste.
Take stock of what you have with you now that you did not have before. Praise God for what has been added. Praise God for the added wisdom, the added muscle, the added resource.
Praise God for it all.
When you do that, you will soon realize that you are certainly not starting again as you thought. You are simply beginning a new chapter.
You don’t have to go back to the beginning of the book that represents your life just because one chapter has ended.
God has the pen. He has more to write about you. He has more in store for you.
The journey continues. Just allow yourself to enjoy the ride.
The aim of these posts is to encourage you as you walk out your thriving introvertly journey. They are centered around the 3 pillars needed to start thriving as an introvert; Healthy relationship with God, yourself and others. Read more here.
