Embracing your introversion: a re-introduction to the Thriving Introvertly Blog

Firstly to anyone who is new here, welcome! For those of you that have been here before, welcome back!

It has been a while since I have written a post. A lot has changed over these past few months but looking back on it, I can see why the break was needed.  I am back with fresh vision and conviction for what God wants to do in this space.

As I have begun writing here again, it feels right to re-introduce this blog, what it is about and how it ties into the mission of this entire platform, Thriving Introvertly.

Thriving Introvertly is a platform dedicated to helping introverts embrace their introversion, unlock their potential and become who God created them to be.

Why does this matter?

My story

Well, I don’t know about you, but I spent a long time thinking my introversion was something that needed to be fixed. I saw it as a limitation. I felt like in order to be seen, valued and fulfill purpose I had to be more extroverted.

I constantly focused on being like others, completely ignoring what was true to me and my unique nature. I thought my nature was weak so I had to become like someone else.

Does this sound familiar?

I am sure you have been there or know someone who has, it’s frustrating and exhausting.

The turning point

But it got to the point where I was tired of ignoring what felt true to me.

I had to come to the place where I recognized that the only way I could truly live a purposeful and fulfilling life and become who God created me to be, was to start honoring what was true to me even if that meant going against the opinions of others.

I had to honor my voice over the voices of many. I had to truly listen and obey what that still small voice in me was leading me to.

I had to come home to myself, a place that is all about walking and operating according to God’s original design and walk for my life.

I had to truly embrace who God created me to be and how I believe He designed for me to show up in the world because I couldn’t become the me that God intended if I lost myself trying to be like others.

I had to tap into my unique strengths but also partner with Him in areas where I was weaker, recognizing that this was all about partnership rather than having to be everything I needed to be on my own.

I had to realize my entire introverted nature wasn’t weak, but rather strong in its own way.

The birth of Thriving Introvertly

By embracing our true selves, tapping into our strengths, and partnering with God, we can thrive as introverts and become who we were created to be.

Being an introvert is not a limitation to being who you were created to be. Instead, it puts you in a perfect position to bring all of who you are and allowing God to bring all of who He is and TOGETHER something great can take place in the earth for His glory.

So to help other introverts finally start embracing what makes them unique and walk in the fullness of who God created them to be in their unique way, this platform was created.

I want to inspire and encourage fellow introverts to embrace their true selves in God and unleash their full potential. This is especially for those who may have lost their way or lost themselves in the process of trying to be like other people.

It is time for you also to quit trying to be everyone and start being exactly who God intended for you to be.

It’s time to come home to yourself too.

God is calling you to embrace what makes you unique and beautiful. He is calling you to take what feels like a limitation and shift your mindset to begin to see how He can turn it into your advantage. He is calling you to partner with Him as He gives you grace even in your weaknesses.

This journey back home to finally embracing your introversion and being all you were created to be is called the journey of Thriving Introvertly.

This blog aims to encourage and inspire you on this journey. All the content produced here will touch on either one or more of the 3 Pillars that are key to start thriving as an introvert:

      • Healthy relationship with God

      • Healthy relationship with yourself

      • Healthy relationship with others
